UK javelin thrower and coach banned

The UK Anti-Doping agency has handed Ian Burns, a 35 year-old javelin thrower and coach a four year ban for possessing and use or attempted use of various doping substances. The substances found in his possession on 8 September 2010 were testosterone, nandrolone, stanozolol, methandienone (Dianabol), hGH, HCG, and tamoxifen. As he claimed the substances were for his own use the police did not prosecute him, but the police assisted the agency’s investigations which led to the ban.
